Equipment Funding

Adaptive Sporting Equipment

Our primary program funds the purchase of adaptive sporting and recreational equipment for people living with spinal cord injuries. This includes specialised wheelchairs, adaptive off-road mountain bikes, handcycles, and other gear that enables participation in sport.

In 2024, all $85,000 raised at the Annual Fundraising Lunch was directed to purchasing three adaptive off-road mountain bikes for Sargood on Collaroy, giving residents the freedom to explore nature and experience the thrill of mountain biking.

Rehabilitation

Sargood on Collaroy Partnership

Sargood on Collaroy is a world-class facility on Sydney's Northern Beaches dedicated to people with spinal cord injuries. The Cauliflower Club proudly supports Sargood by funding adaptive equipment and technologies that enhance rehabilitation outcomes.

Our partnership ensures that residents can access the latest adaptive sporting gear, from beach wheelchairs to gym equipment, helping them rebuild strength, confidence and independence through physical activity.

Competitive Sport

Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT

The Cauliflower Club supports Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT, the peak body for wheelchair sport in New South Wales and the ACT. Our funding provides competition-grade wheelchairs and equipment that enable athletes to train and compete at the highest levels.

Through this partnership, we help athletes like Curtis Palmer—a Paralympian and wheelchair rugby player who spoke at our 2024 lunch—access the equipment they need to represent Australia on the world stage.

Community

The CCXV & Community Rugby

The CCXV is the Cauliflower Club's own "Old Boys" team, bringing together former players for charity rugby matches across Australia. These matches raise funds and awareness while celebrating the spirit of rugby.

From the annual Orange Emus Old Boys game to special charity clashes, the CCXV demonstrates that rugby is more than a game—it's a community that gives back. Players also contribute through optional "try fines" of $50 during test matches.
